Berth is a hosting service in private beta. This page explains what data Berth handles and why. Last updated September 22, 2026.
What we collect
- Your request. When you email to request a berth, we keep your email address and what you write, so we can reply and set up hosting.
- Your app's data. Anything your app stores in its Berth database. We store it so your app can use it. We do not use it for anything else.
- Service logs. The servers may keep basic request logs to run the service, fix problems, and stop abuse.
This website
This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or ads. Fonts are served from this site. If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your own browser only.
Where data is stored
Data is stored on servers in the United States. Each app's database is backed up every night, and those backups are kept so data can be restored after a problem.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share it, except with the infrastructure providers that run the servers, or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your app's data, or ask us to delete your app and its data. Email us and we will handle it.
